Cascade Swimming Pools New Zealand started building family pools in 1971

Opening in Onehunga on 26th October 1971, Cascade branched out into Auckland's 'suburbs' - opening five 'Cascade Pool Centers" each with in-ground pooi displays, Saunas Sheds and the 'new' Spa pools we developed on display. These were later sold off as 'Franchises' as were all the country Dealerships

Between 1971 and 1976, Cascade established Franchise Pool Shops all over New Zealand and we were installing more than 350 pools a year!  Almost eveybody knew the Cascade name, or knew someone who had a Cascade swimming pool!

Cascade's products introduced 'top quality' vinyl interior swimming pool that beat the only other option of the day (Gunite Concrete) by thousands of dollars that 'normal families' couldn't afford!

On the other hand Cascade introduced a family-size pool for $1,495.00 (the same cost as a new Holden car) and was an instant hit! Thousands of Kiwi families bought our Aqualux interior pools and many thousands since have enjoyed the low maintenance quality and long life of Cascade's Aqualux vinyl interior swimming pool!

1972 introduced world's first Salt Chlorinator (the AG450) for home pools - discontinued in 1994
1973 invented Thermal 'Bubble' type heat retention pool covers
1973 was the only pool company offering a full-colour Sales Brochure and Pool Pricelist!
1973 first to offer 'home improvement loans'  - property-based 15 yr finance for swimming pools

2008 introduces the FM MOG UV Light OZONE generators and drops Chlorine almost entirely
2010 increased the AQUALUX 770 Pool Interior guarantee to 25 years
2011 introduced recycled 'chrushed glass' as its standard filter media for Ultimate Premium pools
2012 Cascade's Web Site reaches 250,000 unique visitors - a quarter of a million page reads since 1996!
2013 increased its Concrete Pool Shell guarantee to 50 years
2014 introduces PROZONE Hybrid CD/UV Full-Flow Generator - a deadly blow to pathogens & bacteria

In the "44 plus" years that have passed since we built our first pool, more than 8,450 Kiwi families have enjoyed their Cascade Swimming pool! Cascade Industries Limited is a family owned business (Myles, Julian, Bridget & Larry Ogden) which manufactures, installs and distributes swimming pools that are installed by country-wide Sales Agents and Franchise Dealers. In order to to construct the ULTIMATE pool for their customers, 'Cascade' styled pools are installed under strict guidelines, and warranted by the independant country Franchisees.
