The 5 Step plan: | |
1.
Backwash the filter thoroughly for 3 to 4 minutes. Reset your time clock to 8 to 10 hours daily depending on your pool size and water capacity CLICK HERE to determine your pool requirements. |
2.
Increase the Quadrachlor tablets in the Aquagenie Cannister to 8 to 12 depending on your pool size. Maintain a residual chlorine level of 1.0 to 2.0 ppm. You may need to experiment. SUPERCHLORINATE! |
3.
Add 1 litre of Algaecide per 40 Kl of pool water into skimmer while pool is operational. water may turn bright blue or green initially. Repeat in one month's time and each month add 500ml As brands may have different instructions, read the label on the bottle and follow the instructions. |
4.
Replace the pool cover when you start the heat pump. It is a heat retention cover, and leaving it off in the initial stages will delay the pool heating up to your required temperature. |
5.
Switch on the Heat pump or Gas Heater at the wall. Heat Pumps are "maintance heaters" and will taek a full week to reach optimum pool temperature. Leave on 24/7 if possible |
